Vektor AI ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Vektor AI mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

Email address — used for account creation and authentication.
Name — provided during onboarding to personalize your experience.
Authentication tokens — if you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an authentication token and, optionally, your name and email from those providers. We do not receive or store your Apple or Google password.

User-Generated Content

Identity statements, non-negotiables, and commitment data — entered during onboarding to personalize your productivity experience.
Daily plans, calendar blocks, reflections, and focus session data — created as you use the App.
Notification preferences — your chosen wake time, notification settings, and style preferences (tone, directness, warmth, humor).

Device & Technical Information

Push notification token — generated by your device to deliver notifications. Stored securely on our servers.
Timezone — used to send notifications at appropriate local times.
Device platform (iOS or Android) — used to deliver the correct app experience.

Subscription Information

Subscription status, product identifier, and expiration date — received from RevenueCat (our payment processor) to manage your subscription. We do not collect or store your payment card details, billing address, or other financial information. All payment processing is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) through RevenueCat.

2. How We Use Your Information

Provide and personalize the App — your identity data, plans, and preferences power the core productivity features.
Send notifications — we use your push token, wake time, schedule, and style preferences to deliver personalized motivational and reminder notifications.
Generate personalized content — some notification messages are generated using Anthropic's Claude AI based on your identity statements, schedule, and preferences. This data is sent to Anthropic's API at the time of generation and is not stored by Anthropic beyond the API request. Anthropic's data usage policy is available at anthropic.com/policies/privacy.
Manage subscriptions — to determine your access level and entitlements.
Improve the App — to fix bugs, improve performance, and develop new features.

3. How We Store Your Information

Your data is stored using Supabase, a cloud database platform. Supabase uses PostgreSQL databases hosted on secure cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/SSL). Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensure that users can only access their own data.

Some data (such as onboarding progress and notification tokens) is also stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted unless explicitly synced.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

Each third-party service is governed by its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their policies.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (available in Settings), we permanently delete all your data from our servers, including your profile, plans, reflections, sessions, preferences, notification logs, and subscription records. Authentication records are also deleted.

Deletion is immediate and irreversible. Cached or backup data in our infrastructure may take up to 30 days to be fully purged.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your data — your data is visible within the App at all times.
Delete your data — use the "Delete Account" option in Settings to permanently delete your account and all associated data.
Withdraw consent — you can disable notifications or sign out at any time.
Data portability — contact us to request a copy of your data in a portable format.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly.

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) for all network communication.
Encryption at rest for database storage.
Row Level Security (RLS) ensuring users can only access their own data.
Secure authentication via Supabase Auth with token refresh.
Server-side secrets (API keys, service role keys) are never exposed in the app.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
